Ayurveda is the world's most ancient and complete science of natural medicine. It provides a wealth of knowledge and time tested therapies to promote health in both mind and body. Ayurveda means "the science of life" and comes from the ancient Vedic tradition of India, where it has been practiced for more than 5,000 years.

MAP IT is dedicated to bringing the health solutions of Maharishi Ayurveda to the computer user, through dynamic programs and useful services which keep you balanced on and off the computer.

MAP IT have achieved this in Ayurveda Explorer (AE). AE combines a completely functional web browser, user-friendly interface, and special Ayurvedic Plugins. The Ayurvedic Plugins help keep you balanced in accord with Ayurveda, by providing you with information relevant especially to you, for example current dosha information for your time zone, season, country or constitution. These plugins are completely optional, as AE will function perfectly without them.

MAP IT has a philosophy of putting our customer first, so we provide all computer programs absolutely free. We do not collect personal information without your consent. You never have to submit any personal information to use AE. It's a free service.

About AE

AE is a very intelligent browser.

When you start AE, it automatically connects to MAP IT, telling us a bit about itself, for example the version and which plugins you have installed on your computer.

This allows us to give you the best possible browsing experience, by optimising our pages for your particular AE browser.

In some respect, AE is almost like a person. No AE is exactly alike, as it changes itself depending on your environment, needs and preferences. When you use AE to browse an AE-optimised web page, you get to see what no other browser sees, because AE introduces itself to optimised pages, which display an enhanced page to you. This enhancement take advantage of the special features AE provides, giving you not only a customisable browser, but also the ability to customise the web sites you view.

The Ayurvedic Plugins

AE integrates many plugins, to help keep you informed of how to stay balanced. When you download AE, you can choose to also install AE's plugins. These plugins are made only by MAP IT, so they are all compatible with AE.

Each plugin is tailor-made to suit you. Each plugin will automatically detect any information it needs to operate (nothing personal), meaning you just click on the plugin and the service starts.

Currently available plugins include DoshaInfo, AE Specials Catalogue, Tip of the Day and the AE Online Newsletter.
When you download a plugin nothing is actually installed on your computer, you are enhancing what you already have, so AE plugins take up very little space on your computer.

When you start AE, it automatically connects to MAP IT, checking to see if your version is up to date. If either your AE or Plugins version is not up to date, AE may display a message telling you it's time to get the new version.

AE does not allow plugins or advertising from companies other than MAP IT.
